Ilan Ramon, First Israeli Astronaut designed this patch personally.
During his last visit to Israel, he ordered this patch. The patch shows
an Astronaut with a Peace Dove, the launching of the Colombia on the
left his F16 jet-fighter with which he bombed the Iraqi nuclear reactor
back in 1980. Flags of the USA and Israel are combined together. Left side of the patch his name in English, right side his name in Hebrew. At the bottom the Hebrew inscription : First Israeli Astronaut. |
