The paratroopers are one of four Israel's infantry brigades of the regular Army. The brigade consists of 3 battalions: Ef'e( Adder ), Peten ( Cobra ) and Tzefa ( Viper ). Since the battalions are named after snakes and serpants, it is only natural that their crests and logos will bear them.
